Printable PDF Specs
Features
These units are recirculatory; i.e. filtered air is exhausted back into the workplace.
Comprising: Particulate filter to 5.0 microns - Carbon impregnated fibre filter - Axial fan(s), external rotor motor type (Model A100H has two fans), brushless UL, VDE and CSA approved - Sealed electrical wiring and switch, (downstream of filters.) Steel construction finished in dove grey - Hood enclosure workstation.
APPLICATIONS
General-purpose workstation for light aerosol spray and airbrush use and fume /vapour adsorption and dilution.
Art & Graphics, Hobbies, Modelling & Crafts
For applying aerosol adhesives, lacquers fixatives and airbrush sprays to artwork placed onto a standard A2 (A200H) or A1 (A100H) drawing board within the hood enclosure. Boards fit at an angle for efficient overspray capture and ease of use.
Optional accessories available include Part Nos HE495 (A200H) and HE705 (A100H) pleated particulate filter for fine dust/powder and solder fume capture to 0.3-micron particles. P4010 and P4020 clear polycarbonate panel for reduced hood face size and higher air velocity. P4010L and P4020L polycarb panel complete with fluorescent hood lighting unit.
These units are designed for immediate operator protection from airborne particulate matter, solvent vapour and gas.
Not recommended for continual usage, i.e. production applications, particularly in confined and/or badly ventilated work areas where potentially harmful solvent vapours and gases may accumulate. (See extraction cabinets A300S-D, A200H-D & A100H-D for complete vapour extraction or TechFlo range for higher specification filtration.)

FILTRATION
The particulate filter (Ref. 4) is a three stage, graduated fibre filter. The open structure of the first stage discourages surface loading and promotes depth filtration, ensuring a high dust holding capacity and reducing resistance to airflow. The denser backing filter and final scrim material provides finer filtration to 5 micron. NB: Spray particulate size varies from 10 to 20 microns.
An optional pleated, fine particulate filter to 0.3 microns is available for high-grade filtration, typically to arrest solder fume (smoke) particulates ranging in size from 0.3 to 10 microns. NB: Solder fume consists of 95% particulates and 5% gases.
The carbon impregnated fibre filter (Ref. 3) assists in reducing solvent odours and gases.
Through the process of filtration, adsorption and dilution, operator exposure to potentially hazardous substances is vastly reduced.
